An amazing stay after a long journey from Sydney. A castle room with the most brilliant view and we wanted for nothing. The room was clean and our stay was easy on the 4th floor. We parked in the carpark with any issues and we highly recommend for convenience, location, access, price and service!

Do not go to this hôtel. Pictures do not represente at all the reality. It is old and terrasses are under work. It is not Even close to be a 4 star hotel. The service is very bad, they do not answer to emails and were not able after several call to suggestion and book a restaurant

Just returned home after a great day in Edinburgh which included a lovely lunch in the Apex Grassmarket Hotel restaurant. First of all the location is amazing. Our table and many others in the restaurant have a wonderful view of the Grassmarket and the Castle. Whilst many were bravely sitting at tables outside in the Grassmarket, we were sitting in the warmth and comfort of the restaurant people watching. The menu is not huge, but there is certainly something for most tastes and the food and drinks our foursome had was excellent, very well presented, and great value for money. The service was both friendly and professional. We will certainly be back.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday and it was lovely. All the staff were extremely helpful and even left me a balloon and chocolates for our arrival to say happy birthday. The room was a great size and had an incredible view of the castle. Room service was lovely and the pool was a great addition. The location is perfect for exploring the city.

Although the key card did not work to the sauna on twice, I had a very pleasant experience. - Super friendly staff. - Brilliant breakfast. - Comfy beds and a good bathroom. - Lovely view. - Prices were fairly decent. Overall a very good experience.
